Frequently asked questions
Which printers work with Air Printer Pro?
Printers that support AirPrint and are on the same Wi-Fi network as your iPhone. Most current Wi-Fi printers from major brands support it. To check your model, use Apple's About AirPrint page.
Bluetooth printers and printers that only have USB are not supported.
The printer doesn't show up.
Make sure the printer is on and awake, and that your iPhone is on the same Wi-Fi network (guest networks often block devices from seeing each other).
Allow Local Network access: iPhone Settings → Air Printer Pro → Local Network.
Restart the printer and router and tap the refresh button in Printers. If you know the printer's IP address, use Add by IP address. In the app, Connect Help explains how to get a printer on Wi-Fi.
The printer shows up but printing fails.
Check paper, ink or toner and any message on the printer's screen. Then try System print dialog on the print screen, which lets iOS find the printer itself. If the job fails, iOS shows its own message with Retry and Print Center.
How do I print two-sided?
Turn on Two-sided and tap Print Now. The iOS print dialog opens; set Two-Sided to On there and print. Your printer must support two-sided printing.
Can I print Word or Excel files?
Yes. Choose Files and pick a .docx or .xlsx file; it is converted to PDF on your iPhone. Complex layouts may look different from the original, so check the preview before printing. PDF, images and text files are supported too, including password-protected PDFs.
What does "Erase color ink" remove?
It removes colored pen marks such as blue or red handwriting and ticks from scanned worksheets, and keeps black printed text. It cannot remove black ink or pencil, and colored printed content (such as colored titles) may also be removed. You can try it 3 times for free; Pro makes it unlimited.
What's free and what needs Pro?
Free: printing photos, files, web pages and text, scanning and the other filters, watermark and signature, ID copies, collages, 4 templates and the document library.
Pro: all 29 templates and color ink erasing. Pro is available as a weekly subscription (with a free trial for eligible new subscribers), a yearly subscription or a one-time lifetime purchase. Current prices are shown in the app before you buy.
Does Air Printer Pro upload my files?
No. Files are processed on your iPhone and sent directly to your printer over your local network. There is no account, no ads and no analytics. See the Privacy Policy.
How do I restore my purchase on a new iPhone?
Sign in with the same Apple ID you bought with, then tap Restore Purchases in Settings.
How do I cancel my subscription or request a refund?
Subscriptions are managed by Apple: iPhone Settings → your name → Subscriptions → Air Printer Pro. Cancel at least 24 hours before the current period ends. Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription.
Refunds are handled by Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com.
How do I change the app's language?
Air Printer Pro is available in English and Simplified Chinese and follows your iPhone's language. To change it for this app only: iPhone Settings → Air Printer Pro → Language.
