Privacy Policy
1. Who we are
Air Printer Pro ("the App", "we", "us") is an app for printing from iPhone to printers on your Wi-Fi network, published by Lu Li (the "Developer"). We are the data controller for the limited personal data described in this policy.
Contact: support@gougou.me · Website: https://gougou.me
2. The short version
- Your files stay on your iPhone. Photos, documents, scans, templates and collages are processed on the device. When you print, the job is sent directly from your iPhone to the printer you chose on your local network. We do not upload, view, collect or store your files.
- No account. You do not create an account and we do not ask for your name, email or phone number.
- No ads, no third-party analytics, no cross-app tracking. We do not use the Advertising Identifier (IDFA), we do not request App Tracking Transparency permission, and we do not sell or "share" personal information.
- What leaves your device: print jobs to your own printer; web pages you choose to open are requested from those websites; and the data Apple and our subscription provider RevenueCat need to sell, validate and restore a purchase.
- You stay in control. You can delete documents, remove saved printers or delete the App at any time.
This summary is for convenience only. The rest of this policy explains the details.
3. What we do not collect
| Data | Collected? |
|---|---|
| Photos, documents, scans, web pages you print, or their content | No |
| Your signature or watermark text | No — used only to create the scan you are editing; the signature is not saved after you leave the scan screen |
| Your whole photo library | No — the App uses the iOS photo picker and only receives the photos you select |
| Contacts, location, microphone, health data | No — the App does not request these permissions |
| Name, email, phone, address | No (unless you email support yourself) |
| Advertising identifier (IDFA) or attribution data | No |
| Crash logs or analytics sent to third parties | No (see 4.5) |
4. Data the App keeps on your device
The following data is stored only inside the App's private storage on your iPhone. It is included in your own iCloud or computer backup of the device if you use one. We cannot read it remotely.
4.1 Documents
Documents you save (imported files converted to PDF, scans, templates, collages, ID copies, web pages and text) are kept as PDF files, with a small index containing each document's title, type, page count, file size and dates. Imported files are copied into the App; the original stays where it was.
4.2 Printers and print settings
- The printer you selected and printers you added by IP address: name, network address (host name or IP address and port), model and capabilities reported by the printer.
- Your last print settings (color or black and white, paper size, two-sided) and text font size.
- The number of free tries of color ink erasing you have used.
These are stored in iOS UserDefaults and contain no personal identifier.
4.3 Temporary files
When you share a PDF or import a Word or Excel file, a temporary copy is created in the App's temporary folder and removed by iOS or by the App afterwards. Page thumbnails are kept in memory only.
4.4 Web pages
Web pages are loaded in a private, non-persistent web view: cookies and website data are not kept after you leave the page. Word and Excel files are also rendered on the device by the same system web engine, without being uploaded.
4.5 On-device diagnostics
Technical messages (for example, a printer that did not respond) are written to the iOS system log and are not sent anywhere automatically.
5. Permissions
- Local Network: used to find printers on your Wi-Fi network (Bonjour) and to send print jobs to the printer you choose. Turn it off in iOS Settings → Air Printer Pro → Local Network; the App then cannot find printers.
- Camera: used only when you scan a document or ID card. Scans are not saved to your photo library and are not uploaded.
- Photos: the App does not request photo library access. It uses the iOS photo picker and only receives the photos you select.
- Files: the iOS file picker gives the App only the files you choose; you can also send files to the App from other apps with Share / Open in.
- Clipboard: on the Web Page screen the App asks iOS whether the clipboard contains a link, without reading it. The link is read only when you tap Paste.
6. Purchases and subscriptions
Purchases are processed by Apple through the App Store. We never receive your name, card details, billing address or Apple ID password. Apple provides us (and our subscription provider) with transaction identifiers, the product purchased, the purchase date and subscription status.
We use RevenueCat, Inc. ("RevenueCat") to manage entitlements, validate receipts, restore purchases and understand subscription performance in aggregate. RevenueCat receives an app user ID generated by its SDK (not your Apple ID), purchase and transaction data, and technical information such as device model, OS version, locale and IP address. It does not receive your files or their content.

7. Data that leaves your device
| Recipient | Purpose | Data | Legal basis (EEA/UK) |
|---|---|---|---|
| Your printer | Printing what you choose to print | The pages you print, sent directly over your local network | Initiated by you; we do not receive them |
| Websites you open | Showing and printing a web page you entered | A normal web request (IP address, browser information) | Initiated by you; governed by that website's policy |
| Apple Inc. | App Store purchases, receipt validation, refunds | Apple ID transaction data, under Apple's privacy policy | Contract; legal obligation |
| RevenueCat, Inc. | Subscription management, entitlement sync, restore | App user ID, purchase/transaction data, device model, OS version, locale, IP address | Contract; legitimate interest (fraud prevention) |
| Recipients you choose | Only when you use Share | The file you choose to share | Initiated by you |
| Our email provider | Only if you email support | What you choose to send | Consent / legitimate interest |
We do not sell personal information, use it for cross-context behavioural advertising, or use it for profiling with legal effects.
8. Retention and deletion
| Data | Where | Kept until |
|---|---|---|
| Documents and document index | Your device | You delete them or delete the App; may be in your own device backup |
| Saved printers and print settings | Your device | You remove them, change them or delete the App |
| Temporary files | Your device | Removed after use or by iOS |
| Support emails | Our email provider | Up to 24 months |

Deleting the App deletes all documents in it unless you have a backup or exported them with Share. Deleting the App does not cancel a subscription.
9. Security
Files are protected by iOS Data Protection and the App sandbox. Purchases and web pages use HTTPS where the website supports it. Print jobs travel over your local network to your printer; use a trusted Wi-Fi network for sensitive documents. No method of storage or transmission is 100% secure, but we keep the data that could be exposed to a minimum.
10. Your privacy rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict or object to processing, to data portability, to withdraw consent, and to complain to your local supervisory authority.
- Data on your device: view and export it in the App, and delete it by deleting documents or the App.
- Purchase data: contact Apple for data Apple holds; for data RevenueCat holds, contact RevenueCat or us and we will forward your request.
- Support emails: you can ask us to delete them.
To exercise any right, email support@gougou.me. We reply within 30 days (45 days for California requests).
EEA / UK (GDPR / UK GDPR): our legal bases are contract (providing the App and purchases), legitimate interests (security, fraud prevention, fair use of free tries) and consent (camera, local network).
California (CCPA / CPRA): we have not sold or shared personal information in the past 12 months and do not knowingly sell or share the personal information of consumers under 16. You have the rights to know, delete, correct and opt out of sale/sharing, and we will not discriminate against you for exercising them.
11. International transfers
We are located in the People's Republic of China. Apple and RevenueCat may process data in the United States and other countries. Where required, transfers rely on standard contractual clauses or applicable adequacy decisions.
12. Children
The App is not directed to children under 13 (16 in the EEA/UK). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
13. Third-party links
The App and this page may link to Apple, RevenueCat, websites you open, or other sites. Their privacy practices are governed by their own policies.
14. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when the App or the law changes. The updated policy will show a new "Last updated" date; material changes will be announced in the App before they take effect.
